This policy explains what information RipMachines ("we," "us") collects through ripmachines.com and our vending machines, how we use it, and the choices you have. If you have questions, email hello@ripmachines.com.
Information we collect
Information you give us. When you apply to host a machine, we collect your name, role, business or property name, email, phone number, venue type, city and state, estimated visitor numbers and anything you write in your message. When you apply to be a distribution partner, we collect your name, role, company, email, phone number, partner type, city and state, the products and volume you can supply, whether you hold a seller's permit, your website or social link and anything you write in your message. When you email us, we receive whatever you include.
Purchases at our machines. Payments are handled by third-party payment processors. We do not receive or store your full card number. We may receive limited transaction details, such as the amount, date and time, machine location, card type and last four digits, which we use to run the machines and resolve issues.
Information collected automatically. Our website host records standard server logs, such as IP address, browser type, pages requested and timestamps, for security and reliability. This website does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels.
Security cameras. Some machines or host venues may use security cameras. Where a machine has its own camera, a notice is posted on the machine.
How we use information
- To review host applications and talk with you about placing a machine
- To review partner applications and talk with you about supplying inventory
- To process purchases, issue refunds and answer support requests
- To stock, monitor and maintain our machines
- To protect our machines, website, customers and hosts from fraud and misuse
- To meet legal, tax and accounting obligations
How we share information
We share information only with service providers who help us operate, such as our website host, payment processors and email provider, and only for that purpose. We may also share information if the law requires it, to protect rights and safety, or as part of a merger, sale or transfer of our business.
We do not sell your personal information, and we do not share it for cross-context behavioral advertising.
How long we keep it
We keep host and partner application information for as long as we're discussing or running a placement or supply arrangement with you, and transaction records for as long as needed for accounting, tax and legal purposes. We delete or de-identify information when we no longer need it.
Your California privacy rights
If you live in California, you have the right to:
- Know what personal information we have collected about you and how we use and share it
- Ask us to delete personal information we collected from you
- Ask us to correct inaccurate personal information
- Opt out of the sale or sharing of your personal information (we don't sell or share it)
- Not be treated differently for using any of these rights
To make a request, email hello@ripmachines.com with "Privacy request" in the subject. We'll confirm your identity before acting on the request and respond within the time the law requires. You can also have an authorized agent make a request for you.
Children
This website is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them. If you believe a child has sent us information, contact us and we'll delete it.
Security
We use reasonable safeguards to protect the information we hold. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure, so we can't guarantee absolute security.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy from time to time. When we do, we'll change the date at the top of this page.
